ColdFusion 4.5.1 Released
Allaire has released their upgrade for the latest version of ColdFusion. This upgrade includes a new licensing policy as well as a student discount. This release incorporates all the patches from ColdFusion 4.5 and fixes what seems to be all the outstanding bugs that were introduced in that release. Initial reports are very favorable for it. In addition, ColdFusion Studio 4.5.1 and HomeSite 4.5.1 have been released as well.

Macromedia Suite to Welcome New Addition
Macromedia's newest product (still in beta), UltraDev, based on the Dreamweaver core architecture, will be added to the Macromedia suite of Web publishing tools later this year. It lets developers rapidly create dynamic Web applications using ASP, JSP and CFML. Use UltraDev's visual environment to quickly connect any site to a database to develop Web applications. Whispering the Numbers

Allaire Security Bulletin (ASB00-07): 'Microsoft Internet Information Server Exposure of Source Code with Malformed Hit Highlighting Arguments'
Allaire's Security Zone has posted a recommendation that developers and customers follow the instructions posted on the Microsoft Web site to address a vulnerability for Microsoft IIS. The problem exposes the ability to use a malformed URL to read the source code of ASP, CFML, Perl and other files that are on a server. This is not a problem with ColdFusion Server itself, but it is an issue that can affect ColdFusion users.Allaire Security Bulletin (ASB00-07)
