As programmers, we typically expect "license issues" to describe legal requirements. What we don't expect is that a problem with a "license" can bring our work to a grinding halt. Ray Camden describes a problem with a zero-length license file that could be a protracted nightmare while you try desperately to discover why your server has simply stopped working and offers no excuse.
