Duncan Campbell Looking for Help : Defusion to Close Down

Jan 28, 2002
Duncan Campbell, head of Defusion.com, one of the first independent ColdFusion resources ever created, recently posted this message:

Greetings fellow ColdFusion developers!

As I am sure many of you know, the economy is not at its best right now, and as such I have made the sad decision to close down Defusion. Unfortunately I no longer have the time, money or resources to maintain this site. As such, Defusion is now for sale!

Some stats on Defusion:

- over 2,900 registered users
- over 120 articles, many with sourcecode
- 183 news articles, updated almost daily
- 286 resources - the largest list of cf-related resources anywhere
- a database of over 630 coldfusion companies

The deal is you get all the sourcecode, the database containing all the above, the domain and all rights to Defusion.

Defusion is pretty-much a self-running site, with a powerful admin interface that allows you to administer all aspects of the site. It includes such features as automated member-signup, powerful discussion forums, auto-syntax highlighting/coloring of sourcecode, logging of all user activity, banner administration etc.

If you are interested in purchasing Defusion, please feel free to drop me an email at: info@defusion.com.

I would like to thank all of you for all your support in the past - without you, Defusion would never have been as successful (or fun!) as it has been.

Regards,

Duncan Campbell
