CF_Europe 2003

The second CF_Europe conference was held in London, U.K. at Olympia Conference Center. After last year's smashing event in Munich, the organizers (Niklas Richardson of Prismix and Lucas Sherwood of Macromedia) had a big job on their hand. They hit the mark with 200 attendees, who came from all over Europe.

Tim Buntel and Ben Forta of Macromedia gave details of the new ColdFusion release code-named RedSky. The rest of the conference sessions were divided into tracks, so that attendees could pick and chose what they wanted. Americans Charlie Arehart and Michael Smith were in the speaker lineup. CF-Community regulars Erika Walker-Arnold and Philip Arnold were on hand to throw muffins or to help people out. Though he was not officially part of the event, the infamous Russ "mohawk hair" Michaels of Satachi had a stag night the night before the conference, which left several attendees a little hung over.
