CF Hosting Revamps!

Nov 25, 2004
For the last few years, while ColdFusion has grown in popularity, one of the earliest ColdFusion-centric ISPs has been conspicuously missing when ISPs are talked about. This is now going to change.

AHPHosting, which started out as FusionFX and then became CF Hosting, is now under the direct ownership of its manager, Greg Hedgepath. This change in ownership also involves a change in direction, where the company will be focusing on regaining its place as one of the, if not the, top ColdFusion hosting companies around. With this renewed vigor, AHPHosting is both reminding the community of its open support for the ColdFusion user group program, and has registered as a gold supporter of the ColdFusion Community Suite, hosted by House of Fusion, at the Macromedia MAX convention.

Greg Hedgepath, owner of AHPHosting, fully supports ColdFusion MX 6.1, as well as previous versions. His dedication to ColdFusion makes him the ideal host for CF developers. "We found early that concentration on a single language was better than hiring 200 people to provide support for ALL of everyone's wants for coding languages. We always felt if you can do it in Perl or PHP, it can also be done with ColdFusion! Why spread yourself so thin and try to support it all?"

"AHPHosting now offers the use of PHP or .NET or even perl and will soon have 'Shared BlueDragon Support', but our CFMX servers still only run a limited number of sites, 80 sites per machine. This makes support very easy for us as the servers simply run better lightly loaded. Yes, we could do like everyone else and put an intire C-CLASS, 254 addresses/sites on a server, but then the user suffers the loss of speed, and stability just goes out the window."

"We have seen it both ways. At AHPHosting we know what works best under load with Coldfusion and we deploy our servers according to our established benchmarks."

The company is not new to community support. A proud hosting sponsor of House of Fusion, Fusion Authority and NYCFUG for several years, the company is now offering free hosting to CFUG websites on a shared server environment. The offer includes a free mailing list, unlimited POP3/SMTP accounts and the use of one 50 meg SQL 2000 database. There are no setup fees and no monthly fees for accredited CFUG sites only.
