Xbox on the Block at CFUNITED

EB Games (http://www.ebgames.com), one of the world's leading specialty retailers of video games and accessories, is donating an Xbox system to the ColdFusion Community Center at this year's CFUNITED (http://www.cfunited.com) conference. The Community Center is a location at the conference where people can relax, read, play and generally interact in a non-business related environment. With the sponsorship of EB Games, the CFUNITED Community Center will host live gaming competition. Attendees will go head-to-head playing games such as Dead or Alive, a martial arts free-for-all, or Burnout, a car race, crash-and-burn simulation. By the end of CFUNITED, EB Games will be raffling off the entire Xbox system, with two controllers, two dance pads and three interactive games, to one lucky attendee.

The Community Center's organizers, House of Fusion (http://www.houseoffusion.com), AboutWeb (http://www.aboutweb.com), and Macromedia (http://www.macromedia.com), could not be happier with EB Games' support. "We are delighted to have EB Games join us at the conference," said Michael Dinowitz, head of House of Fusion and one of the organizers of the Center. "I approached EB Games because technical people and gaming go hand in hand. When you get a group of programmers together, you know they're going to want to watch and play games. I see it all the time in the intense discussions of games that come up on the House of Fusion CF-Community list." The addition of the Xbox brings the social aspect of gaming to the Community Center, and increases the personal interaction at the conference. "This is a great idea, both for the community and for EB Games, and the community will remember EB Games long after the conference ends."

EB Games (Electronics Boutique) operates more than 2,000 stores on four continents. The company, which is known for its commitment to the gaming community and their customer's needs, offers gamers a pledge: "We'll give our customers 'first access' to newly released interactive entertainment at a fair price, and we'll keep the hottest titles available on our shelves." With its sponsorship of the ColdFusion Community Center, EB Games is continuing its commitment to the gaming community, wherever it may be.
