Upcoming Adobe Macrochat: Using Studio 8 to Design a Website

Those who are interested in Studio 8 might like to sit in on an upcoming "Macrochat" on January 26, 2006, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Eastern. Alan Musselman, Product Support Engineer at Adobe, will talk about how Studio 8 can help you develop web sites with ease using Adobe Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Contribute. Fireworks is used to build the graphics, Dreamweaver to build the page template, Flash to build a header SWF with navigation, and the template is implemented in Contribute. Here are some of the topics that will be included:
  • How to develop and code the layout to work in FireFox and Internet Explorer
  • How to design various site mock designs using frames and how to slice and export images
  • Integrating features with Fireworks/Photoshop such as Round tripping images back and forth between applications
  • Setup Administration for Publisher Role such as image size restrictions and CSS style restrictions
  • Building a page based upon the Dreamweaver template
  • Image editing features
  • How to convert page layout to a DW template with editable and repeating regions
