When combined with Cisco Local Director (CLD), ClusterCATS (CC) will virtually eliminate potential downtime from the otherwise multiple points of failure. However, budget concerns may put this solution out of reach. By using DNS Round Robin (RR) instead of a CLD, you can set up a Distributed-Mode (DM) cluster with RR and still combine the benefits of distributed processing with the robustness and load distribution of clustering. This article provides two step-by-step, example-based procedures:
