ColdFusion Server 5 Upgrade Installation Appears to Hang While Converting Large Log Files

The ColdFusion Server 5 upgrade installation for Windows appears to hang when upgrading from a previous version of ColdFusion. You can observe the InstallShield program, ikernel.exe, taking increasingly more memory in the Windows Task Manager. Apparently, this delay is simply the Installshield updating all of ColdFusion's previous log files to the ColdFusion 5 format. For more information, see the article below.
