ColdFusion MX 7: Using the Administrator API to Clear the Trusted Cache

Nov 13, 2005
The ColdFusion Administrator API has been generally ignored since its release due to lack of effective documentation. The ColdFusion API allows access to all of the functionality within the Administrator through a CFC, rather than having to log in to the Administrator. For people with applications that deal with caching, being able to clear the trusted cache without logging into the Administrator would be a boon. Few have thought of writing their own buttons outside of the Administrator. This all has to do with the lack of knowledge of the API.

This TechNote examines code that allows you to do this specific function, and from this, you can easily think of other functionality to add to your ColdFusion applications.
