Firms Seek Halt To Pirated- Software Auctions

A coalition of major software makers has stepped up efforts to stem sales of pirated programs on popular auction sites like Ebay and Yahoo. The Business Software Alliance (BSA), representing such producers as Microsoft, Adobe, Apple, Macromedia, and Symantec, has asked a federal court to issue an injunction against four people accused of offering bogus software titles over several well-known online auction houses.
