Macromedia's Flash Advertising Alliance Meets in San Francisco

Dec 07, 2005
Leaders from the online community met on April 26th in San Francisco to discuss emerging trends in the deployment of rich media online advertising and the establishment of industry-wide standards for its usage. The Macromedia flash advertising alliance is working to establish the standards and technological infrastructure necessary to reduce costs and facilitate wide-spread acceptance of TV-like advertising model for the Internet. "Advertisers today are looking for deeper, more innovative sponsorship opportunities than the banner ads of yesteryear. As click throughs and CPMs drop, online businesses are striving to provide advertisers with an effective medium to reach their Internet audiences while at the same time generate a consistent stream of online advertising revenue."
