Macromedia Inc and iConverse, a leading mobile application platform provider, have announced a partnership designed to accelerate mobile application development and deployment for enterprises. To date, iConverse has deployed a significant amount of its customers on Macromedia JRun, the industry's most approachable and cost-effective J2EE compliant application server, including Thomson Financial First Call, Synergex, Salesnet and smartshop.com. The approachability, compact size and affordability of JRun have contributed to the popularity of the product among iConverse customers. Under the new agreement, Macromedia will make the iConverse Mobile Studio available to its two million plus developers through marketing activities and Web site downloads. Each company will become a technology partner in the other's development program.
