Microsoft, Macromedia to Power Mobile Devices

On Tuesday, September 25, Macromedia and Microsoft inked a deal that will give special discounted fees to OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) who port and redistribute Macromedia Flash Player technology in their Windows CE-based devices, such as Pocket PC, Microsoft TV, Car.NET and Microsoft smart phone solutions. The concept? Cut down the time it takes it for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to develop Windows CE operating system-based devices that include Macromedia Flash Player, and enable a whole community of Flash developers entrance to the Mobile world.
