Allaire Reports 206% Growth for 1Q2000
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., April 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Allaire Corporation has reported record financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2000. Revenues grew 206% from the same quarter last year, and 45% growth was shown since the final quarter of 1999. This means that first quarter earnings were $1.1 million, or 3 cents a share, on sales of $26.6 million, results which surprised the industry analysts. Among the factors credited are:
- Allaire's addition of more than 25 Fortune 500 companies to its customer base,
- The acquisition of Open Sesame, a developer of customer personalization and profiling technology, and
- The influx of 240 new Spectra customers, nearly half of which were new customers to Allaire products,
all of which occurred within the last quarter.
