Allaire to Alter Forums to Increase Speed of Searches

February 29, 2000 03:02 PM - Amy Gauthier put a post on the Allaire Site DevConf forum on "Performance issues with this forum." She acknowledged that "system performance has degraded over the past several weeks with our support forums, and [we] are working on resolving this problem. With our ColdFusion 4.5 release, the volume of postings we receive has increased to over 1400 per week and this has caused performance issues such as searches timing out etc. ... [We] hope to have performance back to an acceptable level very shortly."
