WASHINGTON, May 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Jeremy Allaire has joined Linus Torvalds, inventor of the Linux operating system, Steve Wozniak, educator and co-founder of Apple Computer, Esther Dyson, president of EDventure Holdings, and dozens of other dot.com leaders in signing an Open Letter to Congress calling for "Green cards, not guest worker visas." The Immigration Reform Coalition (http://www.immigrationreform.com) is explicitly Pro-Immigration, Pro-Family; Anti-Regulation, and Anti-Guest Worker. The Coalition advocates two reforms: 1) that the spouses and minor children of legal permanent residents should themselves have permanent residency, and 2) that permanent residency, rather than temporary visas, should be the focus for skill-based immigration.
