Macromedia Unveils New Communications Server

On Tuesday, July 9, 2002, Macromedia presented the Macromedia Flash Communications Server, a "development environment for creating all types of communications." This tool allows developers to add include communication capabilities such as streaming media, multi-way video, audio, text messaging, and real-time collaboration features, in their applications, and embed them directly into the user's browser.
