Introducing: CFEclipse Features

While wandering around the product gallery at a ColdFusion conference, I was able to grab one of the Macromedia folks. I had a very simple question for the gentleman: Were there any future plans for poor old HomeSite? And I got a response remarkably close to, "HomeSite what?" He did eventually recall this long-ignored bygone from the Allaire era. He then promptly called over his fellow co-worker to gawk at the code-jockey who was too stubborn to give in and convert to Dreamweaver. They proceeded to poke me with sticks and insult my heritage. Okay, I made that last part up. The two gentlemen were actually quite helpful and nice. But this event solidified one thing that I had known for quite some time: HomeSite is a dead product.

Do not despair, my fellow code-jockeys. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and its name is CFEclipse.

CFEclipse Features: The Concept

In my previous series of articles I covered the basics of how to use CFEclipse. Now I am pleased to introduce the "CFEclipse Features" series of articles that will expand on that by covering the different features of CFEclipse. Each feature will be covered in its own short article. This will allow us to give each one enough attention to make it stand out.

I do not profess to be a CFEclipse guru, so I look forward to exploring and learning many of its great features right along with you, the reader. Whether you are new or old to CFEclipse, I would love to hear which features you think are the best, or which ones you would simply like to see discussed in one of the upcoming articles. If you have any ideas, you can email them to us at: cfeclipse@fusionauthority.com.
