There was Michael Dinowitz's Marilyn Monroe moment. Or the magical decision of EffectiveUI and Universal Minds to re-open the bar when the time came for the conference to close out the party tab.
Oh. You wanted the *technical* news.
A significant part of LiveCycle Data services has gone open source, as of Monday. If you need data synchronization you'll still need the full product, rumored to cost $15,00 and up, but if you just want messaging and data integration, BlazeDS, the new open source product, may be just the ticket for you. Check it out at opensource.adobe.com.
Also, as of Monday, Flex 3 and Air 1 are out the door, officially released.
If you are wondering why you or any Flex developer for that matter should care about this, you haven't checked all the cool stuff that LiveCycle makes possible at the enterprise level, and I suggest a remedial tour through the keynote presentation from MAX.
Further details and much much more, including big enhancements to the Flex product line, still to come.
