Adobe Releases ColdFusion 8 Updater 1

Fusion Authority News Desk

Jason Delmore, Adobe's Product Manager for ColdFusion, just blogged about the release of a new Updater to ColdFusion. In the posted FAQ, Adobe advises all ColdFusion 8 customers to upgrade, no matter what edition they're using, even the Developer edition. Those who are just buying ColdFusion will find that their downloads are already up to date. The big news in this release is full 64-bit support for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and Solaris (SPARC). There are lots of minor enhancements and tweaks as well, to tags such as CFPDF, the AttributeCollection structure, and CFDOCUMENT, and many bug fixes that would, in my mind, make this Updater a requirement. Of course I have not listed even a small part of what's in this. You can find out more by reading the FAQ and the Release notes.
