According to the article, ServiceEngine.com is using ColdFusion in its new, online communications system that lets businesses manage and track online inquiries. This completely browser-based system uses an ASP (Application Service Provider) model to offer inquiry management, messaging, data reporting and personalized customer interfaces, distributed on a subscription basis. One of the clients listed in this article is the Empire State Building, which uses ServiceEngine.com to track and respond to all of its web-based inquiries. Also of note is the quote by Jared D. Schulman, president and CEO for ServiceEngine, that the ServiceEngine application can handle millions of transactions per minute.
