Government Web Sites Promote Interfaces Using ColdFusion

Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (D-Conn) spearheads an effort to standardize, streamline, and automate interactive web site interfaces (public can get info and gov't. can cull info about the public that uses the site). Labor and Transportation's site has saved $1M in administrative costs annually with such a system, anchored by ColdFusion, and similar types of sites are proposed for other user-heavy depts., such as Health and Human Services, Environmental Protection, and Agriculture.
