eWeek's Jim Rapoza feels that "personalization technology has not come far. ... One area of development that has received a lot of attention recently is the use of AI (artificial intelligence) systems to predict customer likes and needs, but the results have not matched the buzz. AI-based personalization pioneer Open Sesame was recently acquired by Allaire Corp., which intends to embed the technology in its Spectra content management system."
