Apache Project Bestows Committer Status On TechOne Consultant

OAKLAND, Calif., Nov 28, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- TechOne's contribution and participation in Apache SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) has earned one of the company's senior consultants the status of "committer" to the project. Only 12 other developers in the world share this prestigious honor that enables Vahe Amirbekyan, Ph.D., to write directly into the project source code. The Apache product, one of two major products implementing the SOAP protocol, is based on, and supersedes, the IBM SOAP4J implementation. In addition to TechOne, Apache SOAP contributors also work at IBM research labs, Allaire and DevelopMentor.
