The Seybold Report on Internet Publishing comments that "Allaire's Spectra Web content- management product combines development capabilities with an object-based environment, facilitating development of complex Web sites. Spectra addresses all aspects of e-commerce sites, including content management, personalization, and syndication, together with a methodology that separates development tasks into discrete functions. Although Spectra was only brought to the marketplace in Dec 1999, it has been rapidly accepted and is already being used by more than 400 customers. It is part of Allaire's Business Platform and is built on the ColdFusion application server."
