ColdFusion Advanced Security: Setting Up Netscape Directory Server 4.1 as a User Directory Fails

Jun 12, 2000

When attempting to configure NS Directory Server 4.1 as a LDAP user directory for a security context for CF Advanced Security, the user directory may cause the security context to fail. This is due to a typo in smldap.ldif script that creates the schema structure in your LDAP. All customers are advised to user NS Directory Server 4.11 over NS Directory Server 4.1 for this reason. Allaire has also included a workaround for users who continue to use NS Directory Server 4.1.
