Macromedia Releases Form Fields Denial of Service Patch
January 28, 2004 -- ColdFusion MX 6.1 is vulnerable to a denial of service attack caused by a malicious user submitting a form with several hundred inputs that use range or type validation. This would cause the ColdFusion server to take an extremely long time to process this form. Macromedia has provided a patch that improves performance to the point where this is no longer an issue.
