Administrator Interface DOS Vulnerability in Flash Media Server
On December 15th, Adobe issued an advisory for customers running Flash Media Server 2.0 and 1.5. The Flash Media Server remote administrator interface connects to port 1111 using TCP. An error exists in the way that the server handles malformed data, which may allow a remote attacker to crash the administrator service. (Note: This vulnerability will not prevent the server from streaming content.) Adobe provides advice on how to secure your Flash Media Server in the article below.
