Macromedia Introduces ColdFusion MX
April 29, 2002 -- Macromedia announced ColdFusion MX, the rapid server scripting environment for creating rich Internet applications. Macromedia ColdFusion MX, previously code-named "Neo," brings the proven ease of use and productivity of ColdFusion to the highly scalable, standards-based Java technology architecture. The new features of this release include a breakthrough new architecture that delivers the scalability, reliability, and power of the Java platform without the complexity. Customers can deploy ColdFusion MX as a standalone server or on top of Java application servers, such as IBM WebSphere Application Server and Sun ONE Application Server.
