Macromedia Introduces ColdFusion MX

April 29, 2002 -- Macromedia announced ColdFusion MX, the rapid server scripting environment for creating rich Internet applications. Macromedia ColdFusion MX, previously code-named "Neo," brings the proven ease of use and productivity of ColdFusion to the highly scalable, standards-based Java technology architecture. The new features of this release include a breakthrough new architecture that delivers the scalability, reliability, and power of the Java platform without the complexity. Customers can deploy ColdFusion MX as a standalone server or on top of Java application servers, such as IBM WebSphere Application Server and Sun ONE Application Server. This newest release of ColdFusion is the one we've all been waiting for -- it is due to be shipped out in June, but a preview release is immediately available at http://www.macromedia.com/go/cfmxdl/.
