Configuring Failover on Multiple Hardware Virtual Apache Servers Using ColdFusion 4.5.1

Apache hardware virtual servers need to be matched with failover partners. Otherwise, upon failure they will constantly look for failover partners in what may be all the wrong places. When Apache is configured with multiple hardware virtual servers under a single instance on either Linux or Solaris, ClusterCATS failover will not work unless you manually configure the virtual servers in httpd.conf to listen on the IP addresses of their cluster-mates. Here's how.
