cf_idir

This tag extends the filter functionality of the CFDIRECTORY tag. It allows an unlimited number of file extensions to be filtered for, rather than just one. Requires ColdFusion 5, utilizes the CFDIRECTORY, CFLOOP and QUERY functions. May work in 4.5.2 but have not tested.

SiteDirector v2.0

CF_DAYORDINALCONVERT

A CF tag that converts a day ordinal to a proper display string (i.e., January 5, 2002). Created for use in an online table reservation system, where it was determined that it would be cleaner, simpler and faster just to store and retrieve date information as integers (day ordinal and year). This tag was then used for the display of the resulting ordinals in a "readable" format. MS Access database supplied has necessary data through 2003, and this package contains an update CF module for generating additional years.

CF_MOONPHASES

Displays the current and next phase of the moon, how many days to next phase, and shows a picture of current phase of the moon. MS Access database supplied contains all phases through 2009.

CF_MULTIPLECHOICECONTEST

A CF application for a multiple choice contest similar to Letraset USA's free font challenge (www.letrasetus.com). Each question can have a hyperlink to a web page which contains a "clue" to the answer. If any answers are incorrect, the user must start over. Success allows contest entry using name, email (no duplicate email entries allowed in any individual contest). Developed to increase site page activity, as well as company and product knowledge/intimacy. Comes with an admin system that tracks successful entries, selects winner at random, creates/edits questions/answers/hyperlinks/prizes, archives entries and polls, and has multiple reports.

CF_CONVERTMILITARYTIME

A custom tag to display military time as "regular time" (hh:mm). Useful if you want to use a simple cfloop to create a select dropdown (i.e., cfloop from=100 to=2400 index=xx step=100) rather than hardcoding text values for a time range and having to manipulate them later. Probably only useful if you would rather store time as integers than in a database's date/time format.

BulkMail

BulkMail allows you to easily integrate a simple form based email system into your application. You provide a datasource name to display a list of users so you can easily select email addresses. Once the email has been composed and users selected, the email will be sent to the recipients individually so they will only see their name in the 'To' list and will not know who else has received the email.

QuickStore2

Basic CF open source catalog/web store with shopping cart. Uses thumbs, full scale images, individual unit pricing, and is completely user configurable.

WordDefinition

This is a service where you can get definitions of any word in the English language by simply passing it in as part of the URL to www.spunkeymonkey.net/services/dictionary.cfm?kw= with kw being any keyword. A good way to use it would be to use JavaScript and capture words that users have double clicked on and open up a new window with the definition in. Randomly generated usernames or passwords

The randomvalue custom tag was designed to create a string of letters or numbers or a mixture of numbers and letters that can be used for creating randomly generated usernames, passwords or access keys.

CFX_NUM2WORD

Number2Word converts a number from currency format into string (in words, English and Russian).

CFX-PROPERCASE

CFX_ProperCase capitalizes the first letter of each word in a string.

Transatlantic 1.0 for Tapestry

[Updated!] cf_ImageUpload 1.2 creates an image upload/delete/display 'console' that you will most likely use on the admin side of your apps. Lots of new subtle features, fixes a bunch of bugs. It uploads an image, renames it to the record's ID, inserts the file name into the table of your choice, and displays it. It also allows for deleting or updating of the image. Robust error checking, and detail handling. Has the option of server-side and client side (JavaScript) file type accepting/rejecting. A handy little utility that I keep using across projects. It has about 2 years of evolution and shakedown time and is very well documented.

swearcheck

Takes a form field as input and checks all of the words, against an Access 2000 database for swear words and will return the number of occurrences and the altered string without the swear words.

cf_keyboardshortcut

This tag allows you to use keyboard shortcuts on a web page. Pass a query or two-dimensional array that contain the alpha-numeric character and link for the shortcut, and you will be able to get to that page using ctrl+shift+[letter]. Not tested with Netscape, may work with some modifications...

cf_datepicker

Inserts a textbox and an optional image into your form. When you click on the image a calendar layer drops down (like on expedia.com) that allows the user to select a date. The selected date is then transferred to the textbox. You can click from month to month and from year to year without refreshing the browser. Several different date formats are supported.

CFX_RawSocket

CFX_RawSocket is an alternative to CFHTTP that provides a way to talk to HTTP and SSL sites using a raw server socket. Excellent for posting XML documents! Sample code for integration with UPS E-Commerce Tools included.

"CF_ImageManager" - OM

This custom tag is used for creating and maintaining an image library. It supports the creation of folders along with uploading new images. The tag allows the user to select an image and then place it into a field specified by one of the parameters in the tag.

CFX_SmartZip

CFX_SmartZip is a CFX tag written by Phan Thanh Dien using Java 2 platform. Java 2 is OS independent platform so the tag can run on Windows, Unix, Linux, Mac or others. CFX_SmartZip is a simple tool for ColdFusion developers to work with ZIP files.

DevComm

This is a tool that customers and developers can use to exchange and keep a record of comments. It provides a comment form for entering new comments and a log of previous comments at the bottom of any web page. It works with both Fusebox and non-Fusebox applications. It is very easy to set up, and creates a file-based WDDX packet for its datasource.

cf_XML

Provides a clean method to use XML functionality. Creates an object which can be looped over in a similar manner to CFQUERY. Displays debug information too!

cf_FormDebug

This tag is a quick form debug and log tool. You can see what input is being passed from your forms. The log feature lets you log basic information from your forms to a text file.

cf_aspmail

cf_aspmail is a custom tag send email using ServerObjects's ASPMail component, or using ColdFusion CFMail tag (default). cf_aspmail offers some features, such as: - ability to send using CFMail (default) or ASPMail component. - multiple "to" recipient - multiple "cc" recipient - multiple "bcc" recipient - multiple attachment - multiple smtp servers - multiple user defined headers - reply-to address - email priority (send using "x-priority" header) - ability to extract email addresses found in "to", "from", "cc", "bcc". Only email addresses that are found in correct format will be used. If no correct email address found, cf_aspmail will throw an error. - ability to test SMTP server before sending email.

CFX_MD5

CFX_MD5 is a ColdFusion CFX tag that calculates a message digest for ColdFusion variables, or for files, using the MD5 algorithm as defined in RFC 1321. MD5 belongs to a family of one-way hash functions called message digest algorithms. MD5 serves a different purpose than encryption. Encryption is intended to protect the confidentiality of data. A message digest is used to assure data integrity. A message digest (also sometimes referred to as a one-way hash function) is a fixed length computationally unique identifier corresponding to a set of data. The result of the algorithm is that each file or data string digested will map to a particular block of information called a message digest. The digest is not random; digesting the same unit of data with the same algorithm will always produce the same message digest. MD5 takes a message of arbitrary length and produces as output a 128-bit message digest. It is conjectured that it is computationally infeasible to produce two different messages having the same message digest, or to produce any message having a given message digest. Message digests have many uses. In particular they are used to authenticate data. For example, to create a digest for authentication, data can be digested and the digest saved. Later, to validate that the data has not been altered, the data is digested again and the result is compare against the original digest. If they differ, the data has been altered.

Dynamic Site

This module will dynamically change all the colors (links, bg color, etc) on each page you add this code to. Very cool for people who like to change the look of their site, but don't want to really do anything. Very easy to use. Check out the example URL.

Movie Tracker

One day I noticed several of my DVDs missing. After trying to find which friend borrowed the movies, with no luck, I wrote this. It will let you add movies (VHS or DVD) and scan them in (with a barcode scanner like a cuecat) and keep track of them. You can input the title, 2 actors, the year made and a few other things. It is best used with the barcode scanner so you can checkout movies to people and keep track of who has them. Just make an account for each friend and never lose another movie. Very cool, check out the example URL.

Cool Date and Time

This is a really slick date and time module that will also display names of holidays. If it is New Year's eve, it will say "Today is New Year's Eve" and so on. The best thing is that it will compensate for time zone differences. So, if your web host is in California and you are in Florida, you can display your local time, even though the server time is not local.

CF_Flash_Tree_Menu_Nav

Using ColdFusion and no knowledge of flash, create a dynamic flash menu tree. You create a ColdFusion template that produces a menu dynamically in a simple format or create a static menu in a text file. The flash movie reads that file whenever it is run and graphically outputs that menu. This is version 1.0. Version 2 will be coming soon with loads of customizable features!

This application was designed to store date and time info as integers rather than date/time format. We felt that it was easier and quicker to search/update on integer value ranges than it was to do a lot of date/time manipulation and the related coding.

CF_BEERLIST

Display and maintain alcoholic beverage lists easily. Intended for restaurants, bars and nightclub web sites. Administration system allows easy checkbox selection from database of products, addition of new products (if not found in database). Comes with a very nice MS Access d/b of domestic and imported beers, sake, and other booze products.

CF_DBA

Checks the database performance (blocks, CPU, object being called, etc.), with the ability to stop and start the page from refreshing.
