The 8/14/00 Goverment Computer News contained an interesting article by Alan McCollough on a unique high-availability backup cluster set-up. The Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, the largest such center of the Indian Health Service, requires reliable access to the applications and data that thousands of users rely on daily. The goals were high availability during system failures as well as data survival in case of earthquakes, fires or other disasters. ColdFusion Server is part of the solution.
