Why ColdFusion Is Still Relevant

Check out Dave Carr's article in InternetWorld on why he thinks ColdFusion is going to be around for a while yet. His arguments center on the upcoming release of ColdFusion 5, and the improvements he sees in both performance and productivity. He says that "performance of the core engine is supposedly as much as four times better than with ColdFusion 4.5," and notes long-awaited features such as partial page delivery, user-defined functions and the ability to do a query on a query. The quality of the product and the backing of Macromedia are one big plus in Carr's eyes.
